Originally born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Kyu Hur moved to Texas at age 12 and grew up in Flower Mound. He brings a calm, detail-oriented approach to dentistry and is committed to making patients feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Hur earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, where he was recognized with the AAE Student Achievement Award and the American Prosthodontic Society Student of Merit Award.
Dr. Hur was initially drawn to fine arts, but ultimately chose dentistry for its unique blend of creativity, precision, and meaningful patient impact. He values the trust his patients place in him and is dedicated to providing thoughtful, lasting care that supports both oral health and confidence.
To stay current in his field, Dr. Hur completes multiple continuing education courses each year, including advanced training in full-mouth rehabilitation, occlusion, and implantology through the Dr. Dick Barnes Group. This commitment allows him to continually refine his skills and offer high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
Outside the office, Dr. Hur enjoys listening to audiobooks, creating art, playing video games, and spending quality time with family and friends. He is grateful to be practicing close to home and serving the community he knows and loves.
